My name is Sharon Hale and I am 53 years old. Thank you for taking the time to look at my bears.
I have been busy over the last 29 years making thousands of one of a kind mohair bears. I would love to thanks my mum Julie who without I could never have fulfilled my big dream of having a business I love so much.
I have 2 boys and a beautiful husband who supports me very much . This business has made me be able to stay home and be with the children throughout their childhood which is very important to me.
I first got interested in bears when a friend and I went to a bear show at Camberwell Town hall in Melbourne. Here I found my love of bears . I fell totally head over heals in love with a beautiful little bear 10 cm tall. He was not for sale but was in a kit to make, so I attended a class and have never looked back.
About 20 years ago my mum Julie opened her home up to enable me to conduct classes at night. We still do them today however I have now a beautiful studio and on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday from 7pm until 9.30 you will hear 8 women busy chatting and having a ball making bears,. I still have some of my original students who have become great friends.
I make bears nealy every day.
I am Angella Chaika, a teddy bear and doll artist. I live in Karelia, on the shore of Lake Onega. Here is a magical, though short, summer and a long, fabulously beautiful winter. This is such a wonderful land, which is probably why all my works are wrapped in a mysterious veil of fairy tales.
I am an economist by training. My first toys were born in my childhood. At the same time, I learned to sew and knit clothes for them. I have been doing serious creative work for more than 3 years. And it became my life's work.
I love complex work, experiments with materials, synthesis of different techniques. I pay great attention to details.
Outfits for teddy bears and their friends are the most important aspect of my style, and for me they are the way to create a unique image. Every pattern is made specifically for each character. Clothing is made from high-quality fabrics. However, I don't limit myself to just fabrics. For example, the costume of the Hare-Spartan is made of metal. My husband helped me tame this complex material.
I am always full of ideas and eager to realise them. I hope you will also enjoy this magical world full of fantasy.
I live, I love, I create ... I am Olesya Kovalchuk. I live in Russia, in a village not far from the capital. I love my home, family, my dogs, cats, turtles) ... I create big bears by inspiration. Each of my bears is one little story. My bears are born in a house where happiness lives. I am ready to share with you, my dear people. I get inspiration to create from the mystical landscapes and coastal scenery of North Mayo, where I have lived for the last 21 years. The West coast of Ireland is a vast canvas of bog-lands, rivers, forests, hills, mountains and spectacular beach and coastal areas where the landscape is ever-changing, from hour to hour and day to day. Mists and rains sweep over these lands with phenomenal speed and create an almost magical sense where nature is in charge and I am just a spectator. All of these aspects are my inspiration.
After years of exploring different techniques of doll making I realised, that vintage and Prim/Americana dolls took my fancy as they were made to look Pre-Loved. There comes a time in our lives when we seek more affection and comfort… having to realised that my creating journey started.
I'm a doll maker, textile sculptor and photographer that enjoys creating. When I am making a doll, I hope that it will trigger something that's in all of us, but sometimes a little forgotten or just hidden, something special and unique, filled with good energy, positivism and joy.
My name is Katya. I live in deep latvian forest and it makes me full of inspiration for my creativity. I did my very first bear 7 years ago, and since that day i created many others. All theese years teddy bears became more and more my passion and now i can't stop making them.
My name is Valentina Kotlyarova, I am Teddy Bear Artist from Rostov-on-Don (Russia).
I've been making teddy bears for 9 years and I am glad when they find a loving home.
My name is Amelia Davidson and ever since I was a little girl I have loved teddy bears. I was the girl who had a bed covered in teddies and loved every single one of them equally. I had admired the likes of Steiff, who made such beautiful bears, and dreamed of being able to make my own teddy creations. What I didn't realise was that it was actually a possibility! And so here I am, a complete beginner with a dream to one day be as successful as Margarete Steiff. I am no where near her standard of bear just yet but I hope, with the help of the lovely collectors out there, that my creations will be as loved around the World as hers are.
Greetings to all! My name is Lada Ostapenko. I live near the Baltic Sea in a beautiful city with a great history - Kaliningrad. Before July 4, 1945, the name of Goa was Konigsberg.
My city and the sea give me inspiration and strength.
Since childhood I have been fond of various handicrafts. My love for Teddy started 6 years ago. At the local exhibition I saw and held in my hands for the first time Teddy Bear and my surprise knew no bounds. How? How such a miracle is obtained from a piece of fur, thread, a peephole, sawdust! Radiating so many emotions of love and joy! When I found out the story of the Teddy Bears, my heart became busy!)
Several years passed and decided to devote herself entirely to the art of creating Teddy.
It is with great trepidation and joy that I participate in @teddymission!
Many thanks to the organizer Alexandra!
Blessed with a mother and grandmother who loved to create, it wasn't long before needle and thread found their way into my hands...
I have dabbled in almost every craft imaginable, but in the early 90's when I was introduced to the world of the artist bear, I became hooked -- and have been designing, creating, selling and teaching all things beary ever since...
It is such a big part of my life, and I am thoroughly enjoying every second of it... I love colour, detail, am a perfectionist and all of this is reflected in my work...
Hope you love what you see💜
Bears From The Meadows by Josey Freni
Good afternoon, let's get acquainted
I am Alexandra Kurt - master teddist.
I learned about Teddy bears 2.5 years ago and they touched my heart. Since then I have been creating Teddy bears and their friends.
Each image or collection is an impulse of the soul, and everything that is done with the soul brings joy!
I will be glad to meet you and I will be glad to share my work!
Bears will save the world!
My name is Olga. I live in Irkutsk and have been studying teddy for about 4 years. Participant of many exhibitions, as well as organizer of exhibitions of Teddy dolls and bears in the Irkutsk region
I’ve been fascinated by the animals and their world since my childhood. Frank characters, elegant postures, and complex textures of these creatures make them an inexhaustible inspiration source for me. My general love for nature and especially for animals is essential for my creative process. In the soft sculptures I create, I love to combine different natural materials such as glass, porcelain, fabric, feathers, metal, and ceramics. But those are only the details: the main stage always belongs to its majesty Wool and its countless architectonic abilities. My own artistic perception, manual craft skills, and free interpretation of forms all serve the purpose of celebrating the uniqueness of life together with the spectator.
Hello , my name is Marnie Pantano.
I majored in painting and illustration and I also studied design, ceramics and other creative subjects. I never grew up sewing but the passion for bear making propelled me to learn.
I have been making bears now for around 18 years and have been fortunate enough to become a multi award winning artist in Australia.
I also have been blessed to teach over the years some of the most wonderful people who have since become my dearest friends.
I spend a great deal of love and time creating my bears and the prices, sizes, detail and designs vary significantly.
I hope you find a place in your heart and home to adopt my little bundles of love.
Love and bear hugs, Marnie.
United State, Missouri
Remember the teddy bear you had as a child? The one you couldn't leave home without? He was your pillow, best friend, secret keeper and closest ally. He was dropped, drooled on and well worn and very loved. All those 'scars' had stories.
Those are the kind of bears I want to re-create. I don't want my bears to be dust catchers on a shelf never to be hugged or go on adventures.
All of my bears are 100% hand sewn, no sewing machine.
Hello, my name is Evgenia, I am from Russia. I started sewing teddy bears more than 4 years ago, and I also give master classes on making bears. The longer I work with bears, the more I love them. I hope this is felt in my work.
I'm creating bears from 1998 under the name Bears From The Boot to recall to the boot-shape of Italy.
I do make mainly small to medium sized bears, in a shabby and worn vintage style, often Undressed.
Ooak fully jointed creations with quality materials, pure mohair or silky viscose. My teddies behave well and are likely to travel all around the world!
From a very young age I passionately loved art. I loved fine art and illustrations and graphic design. I also loved sewing and making handbags and designing clothing. I even loved crochet, weaving and Japanese knitting. Need I mention clay modeling and also a little bit of carpentry on the side.
One day I decided to make a teddy bear for my little niece. This changed my world completely. I am now a complete arctophile.
This is rather comical as I never owned a teddy bear as a child.
I decided to quit my job and the corporate environment and now work full-time on my bears and dolls from my home in South Africa. All the bears are completely designed by me from the original pattern to their customized accessories and I use only the finest quality mohair and fabric and a combination of traditional and contemporary teddy bear materials and techniques.
Because every creation must be exceptionally distinct, I only source highest quality mohair , stuffing, glass eyes, wool, cotton, cotter, nut and bolt joints, all of which I use to create the One of a Kind Teddy Bears and dolls I now create with a passion!
You will notice that each of my bears have their own unique personalities and are truly exclusive and made with the

Hi, I have always had a love for animals and teddy bears.
I started making bears after I ordered what I thought was a teddy bear, but when it arrived it was a pattern for one. So, I though why not have a go, and I loved it. I was soon addicted and making my own patterns.
Sophie Doolan (Paid PP)
I started making bears after I began having health issues that made me leave my career in education five years ago. I had never sewn in my life, but was told that it was therapeutic. It was hard at first, as I have a genetic joint disorder, which causes me to dislocate on a daily bases...but I learned to use finger splints and they're definitely something I've grown to appreciate! I started with memory bears, but once I'd made my first faux fur bear I was in love!
My first bear had such a big personality to me that made me imagine her own world in which she lived. I decided to write stories for each of my makes and give them adoption certificates, because I wanted their owners to see what I'd imagined their life to be before they owned them!
Since then I've made all kinds of things and just fallen in love with sewing in general! It is such a beautiful art form and I love that each item that is made, has their own personality, and their creaters specific spin on them. I can definitely say I've built up my own collection of bears and fantasy creatures too!

For me making Teddy bears is immersing into art and craft. Every bear is inspired by vintage and nature and tells their own story. If my teddy can cause even one person to smile and touch their heart, it gives me a sense of fulfilment with my work.

Kseniya Moroz (Free)
"Hello! I am Ksenia” - This is how I would introduce myself in a real acquaintance, smiling shyly. And due to this shyness, you would never have guessed that I am an actress by education, well a puppeteer to be more precise. Only when the acquaintance becomes close I would talk about this side of my life.
But, since you are a guest of my site I will be brave enough to tell you about everything.
Puppet theater, is what brought me into the teddy world. For me, those two worlds are inseperable - they both inspire culture and imagination in people, because it is us - people, who give the dolls and puppets their "soul". We see something of us in them.
I've started my teddy "voyage" at 2014. It was also the year i fell in love with a young israeli director, became his wife and moved to Israel. At that time there was little known about teddies in Israel, but i've decided to go on, and now this culture is gaining popularity.
In my work I appreciate, first of all, the emotion that i get from you! The smiles, the feeling of comfort, warmth and love.
And the Teddies - they will happily give you all of these back. They are very generous when it comes to feelings.
Susanne Täuber (Jury Member)
It all started in December 1997 with a loving veteran teddy bear.
We couldn't resist his gaze at a flea market and bought him.
No idea about old bears, let alone artist bears.
From now on our passion for antique teddies was awakened, and over time more and more came.
In December 1999 we got the opportunity to visit a bear market for the first time.
We just wanted to have a look! But in the end we drove with Sam our first new one
From now on old and new should share the space in our house
On February 10, 2000 the time had finally come.
Heiner was born after a few outbursts of anger and one long night.
My first self-made bear!
How proud I was, because sewing machine, needle and
Threads have always been an abomination to me, and it has remained so until today.
I only really enjoy sewing bears !!!
My bears are made exclusively according to my own designs.
Sometimes I use old synthetic and mohair fabrics, mostly I work with hand-dyed mohair that my husband Carsten dyes for me and. We also offer hand-dyed mohairs and viscose for sale at the teddy bear exhibitions.
We love to go to teddy shows and meet lots of friends from all over the world.

Elena Burgova (сл оплата 23 января )
Hello dear teddy bear lovers! My name is Elena Burgova and I'm a teddy bear artist from St.Petersburg.
In 2013, I first fell in love with designer teddy bears. At the time I was the sales manager at a car dealership. Then in 2015, I completely changed my life and made making teddy bears my profession. Today I consider this decision to be the best in my life.
Today teddy bears are my job, my hobby and my life. I wait every morning to sit down at the table again and start creating a new teddy. I love all bears, all sizes, colors and styles. In everyone I see their soul and character. This is probably why my teddy bears vary from 5cm to 80cm, and their styles from vintage to creative. But mini teddies are my favorite!
I really like to participate in exhibitions and competitions. My teddy bear became the nominee of the "Golden George" and received awards "URSA Major 2018", Best in show of exhibition "Teddy World 2018, 2019", "Teddy Master 2018, 2019" and many other.
My bears have spread all over the world from Australia to the USA.
I hope that my works will find a response in the hearts of show visitors and expand their habitat a little more.
